Star Story
During my middle school years, I loved scrolling through Pinterest and seeing the different creative projects and ideas on there. It became my go-to for finding do-it-yourself projects and crafts. My neighbor happened to see my latest creative fixation; small cookie baskets made from paper plates. The holiday season was nearing, and this neighbor always baked huge batches of cookies to give out to friends and family. She immediately asked me if I could make some for her to gift her holiday cookies in. She asked me to make 20 of these cookie baskets for her. Eager to get started, I went out that day to buy some more materials and got to work on them the next day. The feeling of creating something that someone else finds useful and valuable is priceless to me.
This moment was what sparked my decision that I want to do something creative for the rest of my life. I’ve developed a passion for creativity and found joy in crafting items that others found not just appealing but genuinely useful. In marketing, you also must be creative and follow trends to get noticed by consumers, and it’s all done to help benefit a business of some kind. To me it’s like being strategically creative which is something I was interested in from the start.
